Welcome to Restaurant Equipment World’s restaurant review. On today’s menu is DoveCote Brasserie in the Bank of America building in beautiful downtown Orlando, Florida. In the heart of the city beautiful lies Chef Clayton Miller’s latest venture – French cuisine in a quaint 150 seat art nouveau style setting featuring trendy upscale dining at it’s finest.

True to its namesake, dovecote is a structure intended to house pigeons or doves containing pigeonholes for the birds to nest. This modern day brasserie uses this architectural theme throughout the restaurant: on the walls to house wine, on the furniture elements and even the way the restaurant flows into an outdoor atrium resembles that of traditional dovecote structures.

Stop by in the morning hours and you will find a fresh selection of pastries along with artisanal coffees prepared by expert baristas. Coffee, espresso, cappuccinos – all steaming hot and ready to go.

Join DoveCote Brasserie for lunch and start your experience off with one of their delicious appetizers. The Caramelized Onion Soup Gratinee is like no other. Savory onion soup filled with oxtail (braised for 48 hours), along with fresh horseradish and creamy melted Gruyere cheese, C’est manifique! The hors d’oeuvres also include and assortment of favorites like Chicken Liver Pate, Pork Terrine, Dill Salmon Dip and another house favorite Beef Carpaccio.

DoveCote serves several salads as well as sandwiches for midday lunching options. A must try is the delightful Croque Monsieur, DoveCote ham packed between toasted bread and topped with melted gruyere cheese and a decadent mornay sauce and served with a frisee salad. Truly a taste of traditional French fare.

For your evening dining pleasure, DoveCote Brasserie brings together a wide array of offerings including steak, seafood, chicken and game prepared in their state-of-the-art kitchen. The Butter Roasted Chicken is skillfully prepared, seasoned to perfection and topped with a sunny side up egg. Tres bien! They also offer an evening raw bar filled with multiple varieties of oysters, clams and shellfish perfect for any seafood lover.

Enjoy a libation from DoveCote’s extensive wine, champagne, beer and cocktail list. Give the Grog a try with citrus, spiced maple, hibiscus milk-washed rum and absinthe. All drinks are meticulously prepared and served to enhance guest experience while complementing the cuisine.
